The automobile Lemon Law is an American law depending on which state you live in that is intended to provide a remedy to purchasers of defective cars and automobiles, also known as lemons.
Some states cover used and leased cars under their Lemon Law, while others only cover original owner automobiles. The United States holds the federal Lemon Law, the Magnusen-Moss Warranty Act.
